Why Join
The working world has changed. Today it no longer matters whether youre employed
full-time or youre freelancing all or some of the time. Wherever you are today,
youre working for yourself.
Since 1970, the Editorial Freelancers Association has been
helping its members to do this better through steadily expanding member programs
and services, many designed to polish and develop professional skills and boost
income. Our purpose: to raise the professional status of our members and to make
freelancing more dynamic and rewarding through

You owe it to yourself to be a part of the largest and oldest
national professional organization dedicated to supporting your freelance career choices and opportunities.
How to Join
Any full- or part-time freelancer may join. Fees vary by membership category and
are discounted for two-year memberships. New members must pay a membership
processing fee. You may subscribe to the JobList service
to
receive e-mail notification of job opportunities posted by clients
with your application. Please print and fill out the
membership application (PDF), and fax or mail it with your payment (credit card, check, or money
order drawn in U.S. currency).
- Resident Members
live in the greater New York City metropolitan area. Annual fee: $125, (two
year: $225, save $25).
- Nonresident Members
live outside the area and pay slightly lower annual dues while still
receiving all EFA benefits and services. Annual fee: $105 (two year,
$190, save $20).
